Monday 20th April
Good morning everybody, I hope you've had a brilliant weekend! This week, our theme is going to be, ‘DINOSAURS!’ I have set lots of learning tasks related to dinosaurs this week, so hopefully you will really enjoy it and learn lots of cool facts. Remember, send me an email with what you do! Mr B
English: Watch this video ‘Dinosaur 101’ and see if you can find the answers to all of the questions. (Write the questions out in your book and then put the answers next to them – they are all in the same order as the video, so you can pause it when you get to an answer!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5BFR-E-ae0
Maths: This week, we will be recapping place value and this first lesson focuses on recognising numbers up to 10,000. Watch this video as a reminder and then work your way through the worksheets which increase in difficulty. Write down the answers in your maths books. The questions for your work are in the document right at the bottom of this page.
In the top corner of your rapid recall whiteboard, you will have a space to write your number. Range 10-20: 15 Range 30-60 : 36 Range 350-450 : 356 Range 30-99 : 36
Topic: Have a look and explore this website from The Natural History Museum in London, introducing you to dinosaurs: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/dinosaurs.html
Draw a dinosaur. Follow this website, watch the video and read the tips about how to draw a T-Rex – VERY cool! https://www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/how-to-draw-a-dinosaur.html
Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.
Spellings: Please practise your spellings daily. These lists are on our class page. You can practise the Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and the Year 5/6 spelling lists. You all know which spellings you should be practising anyway. |
