Phonics challenge:

You can use this website to play some fun phonics games  https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/

English:

Watch this dinosaur adventure story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtP9Ja9xMgQ

Now you are going to create a story map for your own dinosaur adventure. Below I have added a story map template. Think about the key parts of your new story, including a beginning, middle and an ending. Draw a picture for each key part. Then, add some interesting adjectives and key words to each of your pictures. Think carefully about your key words as they will help you to recall your story when you write it.

Maths:

Practise counting in 5s.

Mild

Practical - Using any resources at home make groups of 5. You could use socks, toys, sweets – anything you can find!

For example, for 2 x 5 = you would make 2 groups of 5 like the picture below:

I have 10 altogether.

Activity: Using resources can you have a go at making groups of 5 and then counting to see how many you have altogether?

1 x 5 =

4 x 5 =

2 x 5 =

3 x 5 =

Spicy

To represent a multiplication sum we can use an array.

Activity: Can you solve these multiplication sums and draw an array to represent each one?

2 x 10 =

5 x 10 =

8 x 10

6 x 10 =

Hot

Solve these multiplication sums by counting in 5s.

9 x 5 =

10 x 5 =

7 x 5 =

4 x 5 =

Then play this game https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/306/Maths-Fishing-Multiplication Click on x5

Remember you can also use your propeller maths board.

Topic: Art

Here are some ideas to create some Dinosaur artwork. Choose your favourite and have a go!

You could use different materials or draw on paper.

Dinosaur shadows

You could create your own dinosaur and name it like these.

If you fancy getting creative, have a go at this!
