General updates:

I hope you have all had a chance to relax and unwind over the Christmas break and are looking forward to hitting the ground running in this next busy term!

I have had a few queries regarding homework. I will be sending out spelling and times table homework each week. Due to safety concerns around passing documents between school and different households, I would appreciate it if this homework was not handed back in. Despite this, it is still important to complete the weekly homework as it will help your child with their learning in class.

Our PE days are Thursdays so please ensure your child wears the appropriate kit on this day. As we are reaching the winter months, you may want to consider providing your child with black or grey tracksuit bottoms in addition to their Knowle jumper. 

Your child can also access myon reading at home and times table rock stars. If your child cannot remember their log in details, just drop me an email or speak to me at the start/end of the day.

Our topic this term is South America! In our English lessons, we are using our class text 'Journey to the River Sea' to complete various writing activities with a focus on improving spelling, grammar and punctuation.

In maths, we are continuing with our unit on addition and subtraction before moving on to looking at graphs and statistics.
