Over the next couple of lessons we will be writing our journey stories! Today, we will be writing a plan for our stories.
First, we are going to recap our previous lessons. Last week you created your own characters and thought about what habitat they would live in.
Today you are going to be writing a plan for your own story. Below is a planning template for you to print, or you can draw the circles in your English (purple) book.
In each of the circles I would like to see:
Circle 1 - The boy/girl finds animal on doorstep.
Circle 2 - The boy/girl asks around but no-one knows where the animal comes from.
Circle 3 - The boy/girl and the animal go on a journey to return the animal home. How to they get there?
Circle 4 - What happens on their journey to the animals home? What do they see?
Circle 5 - They go back home to the boy/girls home so they can be together.
Draw pictures in the circles of what you would like to include in your story, then annotate each circle with key vocabulary (adjectives, expanded noun phrases and words to remember the different parts of the story).
