Watch the story below (Youtube link) of Alladin and make some notes on the key events of the story. 

 

After that, create your own story map to retell the story and 'step' it out so you are confident retelling it. 

 

Once you have done this, have  a go at writing your own version of the Alladin story but you must change some features so your story is different. Ensure you edit and check your story at the end too!

 

You could change:

 

- Characters

-Setting

-Plot

-Time period

- Weather

-Housing

In your story, try to include as many of the following features:

 

- Fronted adverbials

- Expanded noun phrases

- Semi colons

- Parenthesis

- Dashes

- Inverted commas

-Figurative language.
