English

Today we are learning about conjunctions.

Have a look at the pictures below and some examples of different conjunctions being used in sentences.

Can you write some of your own sentences using different conjunctions?

Have a look at the picture below from the story. Discuss: What you can see? What does the South Pole look like? What animals would you find there? What do you know about the South Pole?

Activity

Your task for today is to write sentences about the image from the story. Your sentences need to include a conjunction.

If you need to, rewatch the video of the story to help you generate some ideas. Below is also some example sentences.

Reflect

Once you have written your sentences, check you have included everything.

Don't forget you can access www.myon.co.uk/login/ to carry on reading a variety of books, some even have quizzes! This acts the same way as AR reading in school. We can view the books you are reading, how many words you have read and what score you have achieved on a quiz. It would be great if you could carry on reading as much as possible. Why not keep a record yourself of the books you have read. If there isn't a quiz online, there may well be in school for you to access at a later date. We look forward to hearing about the amazing books you have read smiley
