Today you are going to be writing your own journey stories! All of your teachers are really excited to read them so once you have written your story make sure it is sent to your class teacher. 

 

Before we write our stories we need to think about our writing toolkit. Below are two examples of toolkits you could follow. One is slightly harder, so if you think you can, include some of the features from the second toolkit in your writing.

Now you have looked at the writing toolkit and know the key features of a journey story, you need to remind yourselves of the plan you wrote yesterday. 

Have a look at the plan you wrote yesterday and discuss your new story with a grown up in your house. 

Below is my example if you need reminding. 

Activity

Using everything from the past few weeks I would like you to write your own journey stories. Follow the same structure as our story lost and found. Think about the new characters you have created and the habitat that they live in. Use the writing toolkits above and try and include every feature in your story. 

I can't wait to read them!
