Today we will be writing for different purposes. But, first we need to recap yesterdays lesson. 
In your English book you should have an annotated picture of a penguin. If you don't you can use mine below. 
Today you will be creating a lost and found poster, below are a few examples. 

Task

Today you are going to be creating your own lost and found poster with a detailed description of the penguin. If you can't print the poster, draw a picture of the penguin and write a description in your English (purple) book. 

What I would like to see in your character descriptions:

 

Year 1:

  • Capital letters, full stops, finger spaces.
  • Fred talking
  • Sentences that make sense
  • Adjectives
  • Conjunctions - and, because

 

Year 2:

  • Capital letters, full stops, finger spaces.
  • Fred talking
  • Sentences that make sense
  • Adjectives/expanded noun phrases (round, orange beak)
  • Conjunctions - and, but, because
  • Contractions
