Hi Zofia, I can't wait to read your finished story - you have planned it so well! I hope you have enough maths to keep you busy!

Wow Holly! You have been working hard. What amazing writing - I love your wooden fox so much - I have used it for our class page!

It's great to see your story Seth and your facts about Greece. Keep up the good work!

Hi Aidan, well done for writing your story and it's good to see you are keeping fit and active, whilst not at school!

Weekly Spellings WB 23rd March 2020

Welcome to Fox Class

Hello and welcome to Fox Class!  Your children are continuing to work hard and are enjoying their experiences as Foxes at Knowle.  Your teachers are Ms Edwards, who teaches from Monday to Thursday and Mr Greenslade, who teaches on Fridays.  We also have help from our fabulous TA - Mrs Treloar - who supports your children on their learning journey.

PE sessions

The children are enjoying their Wednesday PE sessions with Mr Blacker.  It's good to see them arriving in their PE tops - with such enthusiasm.

Homework and Home Learning

It would be fantastic if you could hear your children read at home and encourage regular independent reading.  Children will also have weekly spellings to learn and times tables travels sheets to practise.  Foxes spellings will be set on Friday and then tested the following Friday.  They will bring home a spelling list every Friday to practise for their spelling test.

Keeping in touch

It's great being able to meet so many of you, as you drop off and collect your children.  You are always welcome to talk to us at the beginning or at the end of the school day, if you have any worries or concerns.

Spring Term

This term the children will be learning about Ancient Greece.  We will be considering what Ancient Greece was like and finding out about the legacy that the the Ancient Greeks left behind.  We will discover how they dressed and what they believed in.  We will a also learn about the wars the Ancient Greeks might have been involved in.

It would be great if your children could find out some information about Ancient Greece - or if you could encourage them to think of some searching questions to ask in our lessons.  More information about the topic can be found on our Topic Overview at the bottom of the page.

Fox Class have been mammoth hunting during story-telling. They have imagined life as a stone-aged boy called Kroll. They are now ready to write their stories!

In history we collected stones to discover which made the most effective tools.
