Welcome to the Anne Frank class!
This year we have named our classes based on inspirational people from around the world and from throughout history. I chose Anne Frank because she was so brave and courageous and this is a great example of the qualities that we should have.
We are a year 4 class this year and children are encouraged to strive to achieve their goals and try their best in all areas of school life. This year I, Miss Hancock, will be your teacher and Miss Barr is our amazing teaching assistant.
We have three topics this year but our first one is:
As most of you know already, I love to have a great link and relationship with all children and their families, so please feel free to contact me whenever you need to and I will always help however I can. We will be continuing our class emails and when these are all up and ready I will add our email address to this page.
We are so looking forward to the amazing year we are going to have!
Due to restrictions with COVID-19, we are trying to keep home learning as virtual and contained as possible. We will be sending spelling lists home, which do not need to come back into school. Any other work that we do send home, we will not expect to come back into school again to limit contact between home and school.
So, below you will find some very helpful documents.
1. Spelling lists for Year 2 and 3/4. Children need to know and work on these spellings dependent on their ability.
2. Times tables: I have attached a document that has all times tables that children in our class need to know and practise.
3. Reading - I have attached some reading guidance on types of questions and conversations that would be really helpful for you to do with your child at home. The more they read, the better they are at reading!
If you need any help or guidance, feel free to get in touch with me.
