Friday 12th June

Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on Facebook and YouTube for children to watch at home.

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).   Then, watch the set 2 sound lessons at 10am and 10:15.

Note; If you ask your child to read the set 2 sounds in your home learning pack and they know the set 2 sounds really well, move onto watching set 3.

Writing task;

Today you are going to have a go at using Knowle's fancy handwriting (cursive). You should have lined paper in your exercise books, this will be best but don't worry if you don't.

Below are the letter writing families for you to copy;

Maths;

To begin, discuss the story of Goldilocks. Talk about how at each stage of the story, we see  objects of different sizes. Well, today we have a new problem. Goldilocks have muddled up her numbers and needs to put them back in the right order.

Using either objects or number cards, you are going to order 3 numbers from smallest to biggest and biggest to smallest.  Use the template below as a guide, you can also use a number line to check you are correct.

Topic- Choose an activity from the topic grid below.

Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. New books can be accessed online through this link. You will need to register but it is completely free. https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/.

Remember you can also access your myON account using your AR reading login.

Talking Challenge;

Look at the pictures and discuss;  What is the same and what is different?
