Friday 17th April
Arrrrrrrr…’tis our final voyage on the seas! I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s learning! Your work has been amazing! Remember to keep sending it in to the email address!
This week, we have been thinking about poor Long John Brownbeard, marooned on a desert island! One thing that marooned pirates could do was to write a message in a bottle, in the hope that it would wash up on a beach far away and allow others to rescue him!
The message in a bottle usually includes:
-a note saying who is writing it, what has happened to them and a cry for someone to help them.
-a map showing where they can be found.
-a treasure map, showing where buried treasure is on the island.
Your task is to create your very own message in a bottle that Captain Long John Brownbeard might write, hoping that he may get rescued!
A little multiplication game to get you started today…
Once you have played that, go down to the bottom of this page where you will find several pirate challenges for you to complete. Complete them in your Maths books. The answers will be revealed next week! Some of them are quite challenging. I expect all of you to complete the first five. Then I am expecting you to have a go at the others too.
Oracy: Have a look below here. You will find some images telling you how to speak like a pirate. Have a go at these and see if you can speak Pirate!
Geography: Follow this link to play the games. They will give you a good reminder of lots of basics of Geography!
Here is a good place to start:
