Friday 26th June

Good morning everybody. We hope you have enjoyed this week’s topic 😊 Look out for a new topic next week!   Don't forget when you have completed any of your work, please email it to us.

How to draw with children’s author and illustrator, Ed Vere

Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on YouTube for children to watch at home from 9:30am and will be available for 24 hours.  All films will be in separate categories on the YouTube channel.

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).

Note; Keep asking your child to tell you the set 2 and 3 sounds in their home learning packs so that you know which sounds to practise.

don't forget you can play cool games on Phonics Play;https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/

English:

Today we are going to write our adventure stories.

Start by looking at your plan from yesterday and use it to read your story aloud. As you read, add any exciting language to your plan, that you would like to include in your writing.

Remember that your story needs a beginning, middle and end. Try your best to include interesting adjectives and for an extra challenge, try to use an exclamation mark correctly. Once you have finished writing your story, read it to someone in your household.

Maths:

Continue to practise your 2, 3, 5 & 10 Times Tables. If you know you need to learn different times tables to enable you to fly from your country in the times tables trek, then I would continue practising those. Remember there are lots of games online you can use to help you. www.topmarks.com is great for this!

Warm up;

Today we are going to revisit multiplication represented as an array.

Choose you level of challenge;

Mild Spice;                                                              Spicy;

In the top corner of your rapid recall whiteboard, you will have a space to write your number.

Year 1 (1-10) - Today's number is 3
