Friday

Starter: 'Robots More or Less' Today I would like you practise finding one more than a given number with numbers up to 10. Good luck!

Use your counters or cubes to help you if you need to.

Our learning intention today is to make number bonds to 10.

ELG 11: Mathematics: Numbers
count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more
or one less than a given number using quantities and objects, add and subtract 2 single-digit numbers and count on or back to find the answer.

We have learnt lots of ways to make number pairs to 10 this week. Today you are going to play some games which help to support your learning. We will keep looking at Number Bonds after half term so you will lots more time to practise learning the number facts to 10.

Today's Activity:

You will need:

You number cards to 10

Cubes or counters

Spread the cards out on the floor. Children to pick one card. Can they work out which number they need to make 10? Use cubes or counters to support. How quickly can you find all the number pairs to 10?
