Maths

Today we will be looking at prime numbers. A prime number only has two factors, themselves and 1.

For example, 13 is a prime number because the only factors it has are 1 and 13. Composite numbers are the opposite of prime numbers, they have more than 2 factors. 9 is a composite number because its factors are 1, 3 and 9.

Have a look at the discover and share images before having a go at the activities.

There is also a short video to help you understand prime numbers.
