Maths

Today we are learning to subtract mixed numbers and fractions where the fractional answer crosses the whole.

Steps for the calculations

 

Step 1: Change mixed number to improper fraction.

Step 2: Change fractions to have a common denominator.

Step 3: Subtract the improper fractions.

Step 4: Change back to a mixed number.

When you have finished, remember to use TTRS and practise your times tables for your country or county on your times tables trek.
