Good Morning Badgers! Believe it or not we are on to another week of remote learning. This weeks topic is……drum roll please………
Wild Week
As it is the International Day for Biological Diversity this Friday we thought we would spend the week looking at all things to do with animals, wildlife, nature and so much more.
Please have a look below to find all of your home learning for today. Remember we enjoy receiving all of your emails and photos so please do continue to send them in to the email below.
English:
This week we thought as we have already practised lots of story writing we would have a look at a non-fiction text. So over the course of the week we are going to write our own non-chronological reports about an animal of your choice.
Click on the link below to give you more information on a non-chronological report.

Then have a look at the pictures to see an example of a non-chronological report.
Your task today is to do some research on an animal of your choice. You need as much information as you can for your animal but remember to consider what different sections you want to include in your report. You can choose from the websites below or just google your animal. Try to use wild animals or ones you may see at a zoo that you want to find out more about.

Maths:
So many of you have been enjoying using the Bitesize daily for maths so we are going to stick to this today. This will allow you to see a video on what you are learning that can help you complete the task. Today’s lesson is all about hundredths and tenths which many of you are really good at so this will be a good recap for you.
Topic
Seeing as we cannot take a trip to the zoo or the aquarium I thought we would watch a video that was filmed by the London Sea Life Aquarium. It shows them feeding the Gentoo Penguins and also talking about them.

Once you have watched the video you can choose between a variety of tasks all about these penguins:
Reading:
Don’t forget about Myon. This is a new way to access reading books at home and quiz on them. It will also tell you your reading level at the top of the page as we have connected it to the accelerated reader scheme we use in school.
PE:
Try the 5 minute work out from Joe Wicks below. Each photo shows a movement to do for one minute. If you do all of these you will have completed a 5 minute work out which you could repeat throughout the day.
