I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really

well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).   Then, watch the set 2 sound lessons at 10am and 10:15.

Note; If you ask your child to read the set 2 sounds in your home learning pack and they know the set 2 sounds really well, move onto watching set 3.

Ask your child to read the words below using Fred-talk before blending the words.

'ar' start the car

park

star

smart

sharp

start

Now ask them to try spelling the words; Say the word slowly and allow them to decode the word independently to spell it. Keep a record of their score to share with us.

English:

Read the story Percy the Park Keeper – After the Storm

Please note; If you are unable to open the PowerPoint, you may choose to watch the televised version of the story on  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dyCkleWRzo

Create a story map. Remember to keep it simple.

Maths:

Today we are looking at capacity. Help the wizard sort out his potion. Can you answer his questions on how full each of his containers are?

Volcano making: This week’s theme is ‘Extreme Earth’. If you have the ingredients, then you can make a volcano at home. Make sure you take a video of your eruption and read the ingredients carefully with your adults to make sure you get the recipe correct.

Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. New books can be accessed online through this link. You will need to register but it is completely free. https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/.

Topic: Pick a challenge from the home learning grid.
