Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on Facebook and YouTube for children to watch at home.

From Monday 20th April, new films will be released at the times shown below from Monday to Friday. The new Speed Sounds lessons YouTube schedule is now available on their website

Each film is around ten to fifteen minutes long and will be available for 24 hours.

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sounds as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).   Then, watch the set 2 sound lessons at 10am and 10:15.

Note; If you ask your child to read the set 2 sounds in your home learning pack and they know the set 2 sounds really well, move onto watching set 3. 

 

Choose from one of today's challenges; 

 

Challenge 1; Can you label the images using the 'ar' digraph? Create a list in your book.

 

Super hot challenge;

Read this story. How many words can you spot that contain the ‘ar’ sound?

 

 

 

 

 

Can you write me a sentence about the cat. Remember to use finger spaces. 

Maths;

 

Count up and back to 20. If you still have it, use your number line or numbers to 20. Put them in the correct order, saying each one as you go.

 

 

Challenge: See if you can find one more and one less with numbers to 20.You can use your number line to help you;
