Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on YouTube for children to watch at home from 9:30am and will be available for 24 hours.  All films will be in separate categories on the YouTube channel; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).

Note; Keep asking your child to tell you the set 2 and 3 sounds in their home learning packs so that you know which sounds to practise.

Red Words

Red words are the name we use for words the children cannot sound out as they do not follow the phonics language patterns. Their letters make uncommon sounds. The only way to learn these words is from memory, so they need lots of practise! Here are red words to learn this week;

Storytelling:

This week we are going to learn how to plant and grow a sunflower.  Watch the video clip and take the quiz as you learn about the life cycle of a plant; https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zpxnyrd/articles/z2vdjxs

Next, watch this video which shows you how to plant and grow a sunflower.

Can you remember when we pretended to be caterpillars growing into butterflies?   Today, we would like you to watch the video below and pretend you are a sunflower seed, growing into a beautiful flower.  Have fun!

Maths:

This week we are going to revisit addition and subtraction.  But for today, we are going to focus on our counting skills.

We would like you to complete some counting tasks; Ask your child to;
