Parliament @ Parliament 2019

Welcome to our Knowle Parliament @ Parliament page whereby we will be posting details of our upcoming trip as well as updates when on our trip. We will also upload photographs to this page.

Updates will be made throughout the two day trip letting you know where we have visited and where we are heading too. You can also find out info on our school Facebook and Twitter page.

Keep your eyes peeled for our latest updates!!

09.53- All safely aboard. It would appear that the children have packed plenty of snacks!!

11.24- Just leaving Taunton. Looks like the snacks have made us a bit sleepy!!

12.46- Reading Station. Approximately 30 minutes from Paddington.

13.24- Arrived at Paddington. Now for the tube to the accommodation.

14.11- Tube ride to Willesden Green. Just arrived. Now a walk to the accommodation.

15.15- All checked in, changed and back on foot. Tube to Westminster.

16.28- Arrived at Westminster. It’s raining but loving it!!

16.50- Walked through St James Park and now arrived at Buckingham Palace. Apparently the Queen is too busy to pop out and say hello!

17.28- A nice stroll along The Mall up to Trafalgar Square.

18.01- Covent Garden looking festive. Rain has now stopped. Hooray!

19.02- Picadilly Circus and about of China Town on route. Now waiting to be served in the restaurant.

19.58- Dinner is served! Pizza and Pasta galore. Eyes definitely bigger than bellies!

20.52- Tube ride back to Palmers Lodge. Tired children in the ranks!

21.45- All children back safely, in their rooms and getting ready for bed. Won’t take too long to switch off tonight.

Every child has been a star today. They have walked mile after mile and haven’t once complained. Very impressed! We had some light rainfall but this was on and off all evening.

Tomorrow we aim to have breakfast at 08.00 and leave the accommodation by 09.00. Busy day ahead and the weather forecast looks positive.

Goodnight! Zzzzzzz

Mr Lancaster, Mr Bemister and Miss Down

DAY 2- 07.22- We have our first ones awake this morning. All children have slept brilliantly. Little bit of chat from some rooms until midnight but pretty impressive overall.

08.44- An eventful breakfast with Mr Bemister taking an impromptu tumble. He is fine though. Kids filing up nicely and ready for a busy day.

09.23- On the move again. Heading over to Tower Hill to see the Tower of London.

10.09- Very tired children chilling out at Baker Street.

10.36- Arrived at The Tower of London. Unfortunately unable to get to the Queens jewels. Beautiful sunny day.

11.03- Tower Bridge, Shard and the Gherkin.

12.24- A long walk from London Bridge to Green Park. Stopped off at The Ritz but sadly our lunch budget doesn’t even stretch to a bread roll here!

13.38- Strolled past Downing Street as we walked through Horse Guards Parade. Some of the children were brave enough to get close to the Horse and guard!

14.22- Just had lunch now heading to the Houses of Parliament. All children are being superstars!!

15.11- All arrived at the Houses of Parliament. Children buzzing!

Parliament Room- WOW!!!

17.33- All safely at Paddington. Train departing on time at 18.03. Children getting food for the journey home.
