Ahoy me hearties. Our pirate crew has had a very exciting day. Can you write some sentences to describe what is happening in this picture?
If you want to challenge yourself, you could write an adventure story using this picture to help you.
An example sentence: The brown, wooden ship is sailing across the shimmering, blue ocean.
Can you include conjunctions 'and, but, so, because' to extend some of your sentences? - The scary pirates are waving their silver swords and exploding loud bombs.
Remember to include capital letters, full stops and finger spaces in all of your sentences. Use your best handwriting and read your sentences to check they make sense. Try and use adjectives (describing words) and expanded noun phrases (describe, describe, name) to make your writing more interesting. Write at least 5 sentences about the picture.
Maths: Propeller Maths board numbers 14 & 38.
