Thursday 16th April

English:

You are going to focus on the settings for your stories.

Palace? Desert? Island? Cave of wonder? Round City?

It’s up to you where it is! When you have decided, describe what you can see, hear, smell, feel, taste.

Can you think of any similes to describe it? You can draw a picture of some of the settings and write words to describe it around the edge.

What is a setting?

Now have a go at the quiz questions. Please write the questions into your maths book and show evidence of your methods and any workings out. There are two different levels that you can choose from.

Topic:

During our topic, we have learnt about calligraphy and how it has been used as decorative art. Do some research and in your books, produce some of your own piece of decorative calligraphy.

Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.

Spellings:

Please practise your spellings daily. These lists are on our class page. You can practise the Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and the Year 5/6 spelling lists. You all know which spellings you should be practising anyway.
