Good morning everybody! Welcome to today’s learning. When you have completed your work, please email it to your class teacher:

Today you are going to plan your version of the story. The chart below shows you the original story and gives you some ideas about as to how you can change it. Create a simple plan in 6 steps, making sure you follow the structure of the story – adding your own ideas.
In your book:
Create your plan. You can create a story map - or you can do a plan in 6 written steps. You can start to write the opening to your story if you like – ready to continue tomorrow. Tell your story to a family member.
This week you will be practising your times tables then using your skills to solve multiplication and division problems. You should be able to do all the calculations in your head and you should be able to recall answers quickly.
Don’t forget to practise Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS)
This afternoon you are going to design a planet. Imagine this is the planet that the spaceship in your story came from. You will need to think of a name for your planet. Does it have moons? What colour is it? Is it a rocky planet? Does it have volcanoes, mountains, forests and oceans. Is it a hot or cold planet? What is the atmosphere like? Complete the sheet at the end of this page (if you can print it) or draw your planet in your book on a sheet of paper.
Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. Continue using myON to do your online reading and quizzes at: https://www.myon.co.uk/login/index.html. We can see how many books you have read and how you are doing on your quizzes. So, go on, let’s get reading!
Please practise your spellings daily. This week’s spellings are below. You will need to see which ones you want to work on. If you can spell the Year 2 spellings, then do the Year 3/4. We will be focusing on 10 spellings every week. On Friday, get someone at home to do your spelling test with you!
