Thursday 26th March

Hello Foxes! I hope you’re all ok and looking forward to your fourth day of schoolwork in your pyjamas!

It’s great seeing the work that you have completed so far. Mr Greenslade has been replying to your emails - but I wanted you to know that he is sending all your work to me and I am enjoying reading everything you have done.  I will try to share some of your work on our class webpage later – so keep a look-out!  Keep sending your work to:

foxes@knowle-plymouth.co.uk

Make sure you get a grown-up to help you with that bit!

Here is your work for today…

English:

Yesterday you might have completed your story or created a front cover and a blurb for your story.

Today it is time to edit your writing and make any improvements.  Re-read your sentences stopping at full stops. Does it make sense? Have you forgotten to use full stops or any other punctuation marks?  Can you add exclamation marks by adding shocking news or surprises? Check spellings using a dictionary if you have one at home. Have you remembered to make your sentences interesting by including adjectives, fronted adverbials, paragraphs and dialogue.  If you have forgotten any of these please add them to your work as it really does make a difference.

Remember if you completed your story yesterday, today you can do the front cover and the blurb today!

Maths:

Propeller Maths today.

You can use your propeller Maths sheets and whiteboard pens

Choose one of these numbers to work with today:
Mild Spice: 45

Medium Spice: 63

Spicy Hot: 72

Once you’ve completed it, click on this link to practise your times tables.

Topic:

Research the Olympic Games.  Maybe you act out some of the sports or go the extra mile and set up you own Ancient Olympics Sports Day?

Things to do Daily:

Spend time reading each day on your own and to an adult.

Also use times table rock stars to practice your times tables.

Tune in to daily PE with Joe Wicks every morning at nine on YouTube.
