Animals in the Antarctica

Learning intention: To learn about the different animals that live in Antarctica

ELG: Communication and Language - Answer 'how' and 'why' questions about their experiences in response to stories or events.

Today we will be watching the video below about the different animals in the polar regions. We will be discussing what the children can see and what animals we can name. We will be answering these questions:

What animals have fur? Why do you think some animals have fur when they live in the Antarctica?

What animals live in or near to the sea?

What animal do you like best and why?

Why do seals have flippers and not legs?

You can upload your answers onto Tapestry or email them to your class email.
