Thursday

Our learning intention today is to make a stir fry or some fortune cookies.

ELG: Children know the importance for good health of physical exercise, and a healthy diet, and talk about ways to keep healthy and safe.

Choose which you would like to make:

Stir fry

What do we need for our stir fry?

What vegetables can you see in the pictures below?

How do the noodles feel before they are cooked?

How do the noodles feel after they are cooked?

What did the stir fry taste like?

What words can you use to describe the taste?

Fortune cookies

Fortune cookies are traditional in Chinese culture. Inside them, they have little notes which make predictions of your future. What note would you put inside your fortune cookie?

Practice writing your own fortune note.

What do you find inside fortune cookies?

Cooking focuses on lots of skills and areas of learning. It encourages children to try a range of different foods and learn about the importance of keeping a healthy diet.
