Today you are going to write a story, where all the characters are your friends and family. Imagine you are going on a holiday adventure. You can go anywhere in the world, a tropical island, snowy mountains or deep into the rainforest – you could even go into space! What will happen? What goes wrong? Who will be the family hero? Who saves the day? Write your story in your book.
Read your story to a family member.
In maths over the next few weeks, you will be consolidating your understanding of the number operations, using written methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. You will be practising arithmetic questions.

Don’t forget to practise Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS)
This afternoon you are going to find out about families around the world. Use the link below to read information about families in different countries. You only need to read the ‘Family’ section of the text, then scroll down and choose another country. In your book make notes about family life for 6 to 10 countries. Write the name of the country, followed by your notes. At the end write which country you prefer and explain why.
Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. Continue using myON to do your online reading and quizzes at: https://www.myon.co.uk/login/index.html. We can see how many books you have read and how you are doing on your quizzes. So, go on, let’s get reading!
Please practise your spellings daily. This week’s spellings are below. You will need to see which ones you want to work on. If you can spell all of the Year 2, then do the Year 3/4, if you can already spell all of those, then do the Year 5/6. We will be focusing on 10 spellings every week. On Friday, get someone at home to do your spelling test with you!
