English:

An adventure with your friends and family!

Today you are going to have complete freedom to write a story. It can be about ANYTHING, but, it has got to include people you know as the main characters.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  1. You have to go on an adventure to get a cure for Covid-19
  2. You win a holiday to go to ‘wherever you want’ – where do you go? What happens?
  3. You are in school with your friends, when suddenly, a monster attacks the school – what happens?
  4. You find out that your grandma/sister/best friend is a spy who has to go on secret missions. You follow them or go with them on their next mission – what is it and what happens? What cool gadgets do they have?
  5. Choose your own story!

Today you are going to continue working on place value but we are focusing on number sequences.

Have a think about this to get your brain thinking:        (Power up below)

Now watch the video clip on this link to remind yourself about number sequences.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z69k7ty/articles/zyd4rdm

Now you have 4 tasks to do on number sequences (Number sequences worksheet below)

Now complete your propeller board  using the numbers Side A 30-90 : 89

                                                                                            Side B 10-90 : 89

Also remember to keep practising your times tables on TTRS.

Topic:

Thinking about ‘diversity’ and how different families can be, we are going to look at two tribes from South America. How are their lives similar?

How are they different?

The Awa Tribe and Guarani People.

Click on the two PDF files below to find out more…

Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.  You can now also go on: https://www.myon.co.uk/login/index.html to do your online reading and quizzes too! We can see how many books you have read and how you are doing on your quizzes. So go on, let’s get reading!

Spellings:

Please practise your spellings daily. This week’s spellings are below. You will need to see which ones you want to work on. If you can spell all of the Year ¾ spellings, then do the Year 5/6. We will be focusing on 10 spellings every week. On Friday, get someone at home to do your spelling test with you!
