In English today I would like you to write your second paragraph. This paragraph should follow on cohesively from the introduction you did yesterday. Today’s focus is on the first of the Tudor monarchs – Henry VII.
He is not the most famous but there is a lot to find out! Make sure your paragraph includes answers to some of these questions:
What was his full name?
When did he reign?
How long did he reign for?
Did he marry?
Did he have any children?
What is he well known for?
What was he like?
When you have finished writing, spend some time proofreading and editing. Have you punctuated properly? Have you used any brackets or commas? Have you included any relative clauses? Is it interesting?
If you’re not 100% happy, then spend some time up-levelling to improve it… Ask a family member to read it – are they hooked?
Today’s Maths is Lesson 11:
For art today, I would like you to draw a portrait of Henry VIII. He was supposedly a handsome fellow but I’m not sure I agree. You can either use an image of Henry from Google (Hans Holbein’s portrait is the most famous) or you can follow the tutorial link below which will take you through a drawing step by step. Don’t worry if you don’t have any colours – I am more interested in you trying hard to draw a good likeness. Have fun!
