English:

Great Britain has a lot of famous landmarks. Stonehenge is very old and there has been a lot of debate as to why it was built in the first place https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RyqU1r1Fmk

Imagine you are one of the people who helped to build it thousands of years ago and write a diary entry to explain:

Why is it being built?

Who is it for?

Why are you helping to build it and what is your job?

How did you manage to bring the stones to that field?

Maths

Today we are going to be finding halves of a number.

Task:
You might want to collect objects that you can share equally into two groups;

For example: ½ of 4.

  1. Collect 4 objects.
  2. Then one at a time share them between two groups.
  3. Count each group to check they are equal.

Also don’t forget to access https://play.numbots.com/#/account/school-login-type and you can use your propeller maths board.

Topic: Geography

Today you will be learning about the 4 countries within Great Britain: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. I would like you to find out 3 facts about each country.

Before finding facts about each country, you could try and find them on google earth:
https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/earth/

Here are some things you could research for each country:

  • Famous places
  • Capital cities
  • Flags
  • Food
  • Famous people
