Tuesday 23rd June

Good morning, we hope you all have a lovely day!

Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on YouTube for children to watch at home from 9:30am and will be available for 24 hours.  All films will be in separate categories on the YouTube channel;   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).

Note; Keep asking your child to tell you the set 2 and 3 sounds in their home learning packs so that you know which sounds to practise.

You can also play some cool games here; https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/

English:

Today we are going to look at the painting of The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh.

Imagine that you are an art critic and write a description of the painting using interesting adjectives, expanded noun phrases and adverbs.

Think carefully about what you can see in the painting. Have you noticed anything unusual? What mood was the artist trying to capture? Where might this have been painted from? Was this a special place for the artist? What colours have been used and why?

Maths:

 Continue to practise your 2, 3, 5 & 10 Times Tables. If you know you need to learn different times tables to enable you to fly from your country in the times tables trek, then I would continue practising those. Remember there are lots of games online you can use to help you. www.topmarks.com is great for this!

Warm up;

Today we continue to revisit equal groups and make links to multiplication;
