Watch the You Tube video to recap the steps in the life cycle of a frog. Then, create a story map, drawing a picture to represent each step.
This is an example of the story map. It can be drawn really simply as long as the children understand it and can talk through it explaining each picture:
Topic: Pick a challenge from the home learning grid on the class page.
Maths:
Count on and back to 20. Make some mistake as you do and see if you child can notice. Which number did I miss? What comes next?
Explain to the children that today they are going to draw pictures to show their adding. There are two sets of sums. One is with larger numbers. The second set will be more of a challenge, but the children can still use pictures to represent the answers. They can complete this in their Maths exercise book.
Challenge: Add to 10 https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/kids-activities/fun-maths-games-and-activities/
Please send a photo any work the children do so I can see how they are getting on. You can email: caterpillars@knowle-plymouth.co.uk
Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.
Phonics: It is really important that you try and keep daily phonics going as this will ensure they keep making progress with both their reading and writing. Below there is also link to e-books which have been made available for you and your children to access at home. Any queries on which books they should be reading, please do not hesitate to contact me over email.
