Watch this lovely video clip of a song explaining measure to introduce today's learning.
Today I would like you to measure your toys. I would like you to choose 5 different toys to measure. If you have dinosaurs at home, these will be great to measure. Line your toys up from shortest to the tallest. Use objects from around your home to measure them
Write down how long each toy is and then put them in order from the shortest to the tallest. When comparing, remember our sentence stems;
My __________________ is ______ pasta shapes taller/shorter.
My __________________ is ______ pasta shapes long/short
Challenge; If you have a ruler, measure each objects and read how many centimeters long your object is.
Topic: Pick a challenge from the home learning grid.
