Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on Facebook and YouTube for children to watch at home.

From Monday 20th April, new films will be released at the times shown below from Monday to Friday. The new Speed Sounds lessons YouTube schedule is now available on their website

Each film is around ten to fifteen minutes long and will be available for 24 hours.

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).   Then, watch the set 2 sound lessons at 10am and 10:15.

Note; If you ask your child to read the set 2 sounds in your home learning pack and they know the set 2 sounds well, move onto watching set 3. 

 

 

Maths:

Count up and back to 30.

Below is a picture of a whole and part model. It helps children with addition problems and ideas.  Get 10 small objects. If they are the same objects so that they are easier to count that would be great.

Create your own on card or paper and get children practise counting and finding the number bond to 10. For example, put 3 objects down and say count out how many more you need to get to 10.

Draw and label the life cycle of a butterfly. You know this one really well now you should be able to do this on your own. Use these words to label you drawing: cocoon, egg, caterpillar, butterfly.

You could also label each stage to show what comes first etc.
