Our learning intention for today is to use our phonics to help us label a picture.
ELG: Children use their phonic knowledge to write words in ways which match their spoken sounds. They also write some irregular common words. They write simple sentences which can be read by themselves and others. Some words are spelt correctly and others are phonetically plausible.
How does the ox help the children? Do you think he kind? Why do you think this? After watching the story have you found out whether ox's are strong or weak? How do you know?
Today I would like you to either draw your own Ox and label it or you can use my Ox and label his body parts. Remember to use your phonics to help you sound out the words. You will need to colour in your Ox.
Can you challenge yourself to write a sentence about the Ox?
We look forward to seeing the colour of your OX.
