Good morning everyone,
Hope you’re having a magical week!
See below for today’s learning.
Mr Young 😊
Today we are going to be diving into the world of Harry Potter! I know that not all of you might have read it or watched the film, so you won’t need to know the story too in depth.
The prompt for your writing today is at the bottom of the page:
If you could make an everyday object magical, what would it be and what could it do? What would you do with it? Give a few examples. Full sentences and best handwriting please!
Today’s lesson focuses on understanding the value of each digit in numbers up to 7 digits. This will be in the form of partitioning.
Watch the videos and then have a go at the worksheets attached at the bottom.
In the top corner of your rapid recall whiteboard, you will have a space to write your number.
Range 10-20: 20
Range 30-60: 55
Range 350-450: 444
Range 30-99: 69
This afternoon you are going to make your own ‘potion’. You need a BIG bowl (or washing basket!)
What you need to make the potion:
You have to got to go around the house and find an item beginning with each letter of the alphabet – in order (26 items!) Make sure you take a photo when you are done and send it in! If there is more than one of you, it could be a race!! :D
Then, you could have a go at making this…
Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.
Please practise your spellings daily. These lists are on our class page. You can practise the Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and the Year 5/6 spelling lists. You all know which spellings you should be practising anyway.
