English: Today we would like you to plan your own Chinese myth! Use the word file attached to help you innovate and change the myth you looked at yesterday. You can make subtle changes or big changes whilst maintaining a similar structure. You just need to ensure that your ideas are linked to what you have mentioned previously!
You might want to add extra details or change things such as characters, setting, task set by the Emperor, order of the animals and weather.
Don’t worry about printing the word file. You can write your innovated ideas down in your book using the same structure! |
Maths:
Today you will be practising more arithmetic questions. If you find any difficult have a look at the video clips at the bottom of the page to help you. Complete the arithmetic challenges below. You may want to start with the mild challenge or if you are feeling confident go straight on to the arithmetic challenges. |
In the top corner of your propeller board, you will have a space to write your number.
Range 10-20: 20
Range 30-60: 54
Range 350-450: 366
Range 30-99: 46
Don’t forget to keep practising your times tables on TTRS.
Topic: Today you will be finding out about the Shang Dynasty. Watch the two videos below as an introduction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3jXyXhIR9s&feature=emb_logo https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z39j2hv/articles/z2ckrwx There is also a word document below where you can find out more facts! |
Once you have done this, split your page in half with the two headings ‘Kings’ and ‘Peasants’. In each column, write down what you think life was like for these two groups of people during the Shang Dynasty. It would definitely be very different!
Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. You can now also go on: https://www.myon.co.uk/login/index.html to do your online reading and quizzes too! We can see how many books you have read and how you are doing on your quizzes. So go on, let’s get reading!
Spellings: Please practise your spellings daily. This week’s spellings are below. You will need to see which ones you want to work on. If you can spell all of the Year 2, then do the Year 3/4, if you can already spell all of those, then do the Year 5/6. We will be focusing on 10 spellings every week. On Friday, get someone at home to do your spelling test with you! |
Year 2: wild climb most only both old cold gold hold told
Year 3/4: breath breathe build busy business calendar caught centre century certain |
Year 5/6: available average awkward bargain bruise category cemetery committee communicate community |
