Wednesday 15th AprilHello everyone! Happy Wednesday! We continue our pirate theme today! ‘Ere be yer daily learnin’ me shipmates. Be sure to send yer pictures to Cap’n Edwards or you’ll be walking the plank and plunging to Davy Jones’ Locker before you can say ‘Abandon Ship’!
English: Yesterday, you created a word bank for the picture that I gave you. The picture is attached to the bottom of here once again. Today, you must write a description of the scene. Use the word bank to write a good descriptive piece.
Example: Just above the waves, the old, creaky ship bobbed calmly.
Maths: Continuing our co-ordinates work from yesterday.

Place numbers on the lines. Draw an island onto your map and place your treasure onto the island in different locations.
Write detailed instructions for your shipmates:
If ye dig at 5,3, Treasure there will be.
Topic:
Follow this link and have a go at drawing your very own pirate ship. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG1DMsQK74M
I have added to the bottom of this page some information about the different roles and jobs on a pirate ship.
Read through the roles carefully. If you need help reading, get an adult to help you. Think about: -What job you would most like to have on a pirate ship. -What job you think you would be good at and why. -What job you think you would be bad at and why.
Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.
