Wednesday 17th June

Phonics:

Read Write Inc. Phonics lessons are on YouTube for children to watch at home from 9:30am and will be available for 24 hours.  All films will be in separate categories on the YouTube channel;              https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ

I would suggest that you follow this link to review set 1 sound as your child will know these really well now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCBzNnSSxds (turn off the sound so your child can say what they see).

Note; Keep asking your child to tell you the set 2 and 3 sounds in their home learning packs so that you know which sounds to practise.

Storytelling:

Today you are going to watch a YouTube clip about rockets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-RfnvErSio

Can you draw a rocket similar to one below and label its parts? There is a word bank under the picture.

On Sunday 21st June, people in England will be celebrating Fathers Day. Do you have someone special that you would like to make a card for? If so, open the document below for instructions to make a rocket card.

Maths;

Today, you are going to focus on ordering numbers from smallest to largest and largest to smallest.

Today's challenge; Order these amounts

You can make number cards or use objects to make the amounts.

Reading:.Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. New books can be accessed online through this link. You will need to register but it is completely free. https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/.

Remember you can also access your myON account using your AR reading login; www.myon.co.uk

Talking Challenge;

Would you rather be the first child to land on the moon or eat milky way bars every day?

I would rather _________________ because _____________________

I think _____________________ because _____________________

In my opinion ____________________________
