Good morning everybody! We hope you are all well and are keen to get started!
Remember to send your work to your class email addresses:

Today you are going to think about the spaceship in your story – as you will need to describe it in a lot of detail when you write your story. Your task today is to design your spaceship, think about the colour and shape. It can be a rocket, spaceship or flying saucer – the design is up to you. Have a look at some of these pictures to get some ideas:
In your book:
Draw your spaceship and write 5 descriptive sentences about it. Look at the way the spaceship is described in the story to get ideas. Think about the shape, the colour, the sounds it makes, the way it moves and the lights.
This week you will be practising your times tables then using your skills to solve multiplication and division problems. You should be able to do all the calculations in your head and you should be able to recall answers quickly.
Don’t forget to practise Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS)
This afternoon you are going to bring your spaceship to life! You can draw or paint your spaceship - or you can make a 3D model using construction materials or cardboard. This is a great opportunity to use cardboard packaging, plastic bottles and other items you may have around the house. Remember to paint your space craft and give it a name. I can’t wait to see them!
Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record. Continue using myON to do your online reading and quizzes at: https://www.myon.co.uk/login/index.html. We can see how many books you have read and how you are doing on your quizzes. So, go on, let’s get reading!
Please practise your spellings daily. This week’s spellings are below. You will need to see which ones you want to work on. If you can spell the Year 2 spellings, then do the Year 3/4. We will be focusing on 10 spellings every week. On Friday, get someone at home to do your spelling test with you!
