Hello Otters! I hope you’ve had a super start to your week learning all about dinosaurs. Today we are going to have even more fun thinking about these roarsome creatures. Roooooooaaaaaaaarrr!

On Monday you listened to a story and created a story map. Yesterday you thought more deeply about the story. Today you are going to create a plan for your own story.
Pete has lots of other pairs of pants to choose from! Today you are going to choose one of the other pairs of pants (I have put a picture underneath the work to show you all of the different types) and plan your own story.

You have been practising solving calculations this week so today I thought we would have a think about shapes. Your challenge is to use different shapes to make a dinosaur. You can either draw shapes on paper or use different shapes you find around your house to build the dinosaur. However, you must name and describe each of the shapes you use.
Answer these questions for each shape:
Below there is an information sheet to remind you about the different angles and lines and some examples of dinosaurs you could create. Make sure you click on the pictures to make them bigger so you can see them clearly.
Year 4 see if you can challenge yourself by using 3D shapes from around your house. Use the internet to research more about their properties.
Your challenge is to use your knowledge of dinosaurs to see if you can think of a dinosaur for each letter of the alphabet. How many can you do without searching the internet. Use the photo below to help you see how to lay it out.
