English: Everything you need story: Now you created an engaging opening for your story that grabs the reader’s attention. Please proof-read and up-level, checking you have used: a wide range of punctuation appropriately, interesting sentence openers, a range of conjunctions, ambitious vocabulary and expanded noun phrases to set the scene and introduce your characters.  Would any sentences benefit from re-structuring? * Can you now draw an illustration of the first setting, adding rich vocabulary?

 

Maths: Please complete the Yr 6 SATS Division worksheet attached (this is not in your pack). If you find any questions too challenging please click on the YouTube buttons, as these links will take you to a short video clip that will break down the steps to completing the question. Please use these videos to mark your work, assess your progress and develop your reasoning skills. Please complete these questions in your Maths books: Mild at least 6 questions, Spicy at least 10 and Hot at least 14. If you’re on fire attempt them all! 

 

Topic:  Geography Globalisation Two Week Project: Continue to read through your knowledge organisers and research your chosen area. Now you have some research decide upon how you are going to start to present your findings. Remember it needs to be factual, hook the reader and be written appropriately for your target audience e.g. year 7 information booklet/persuasive PowerPoint or Year 4 non-chronological report. Please create an eye-catching piece by using drawings, diagrams or photographs.

Now you have opened your green English packs and read the second text in Reading Paper Set A.  Underline any unfamiliar words and important information. Please then use a dictionary (online is fine) to find the meaning of any unknown vocabulary. Tomorrow you will be completing the questions for this text.

If you fancy doing something mind-blowing, take another look at the cosmos video that I showed you last week. Can you create your own version by drawing the spherical bodies carefully so that they are each identifiable? Log the diameters and try to draw them so that the sizes are relative. This is no easy task but I'd love to see some of your attempts if you get chance.
