We hope you are enjoying exploring some of the excellent online resources for home learning this week! We are going to continue using websites that people are creating to help you with your home learning. Let me know how you are getting on, as it's a change from last week.
Remember to send examples of your work into our class email.
So, here is your home learning for today…
Click on the above link and then click on the english lesson. It guides you through a great lesson all about using apostrophes to show possession. This means using apostrophes to show when something belongs to someone.
Use your writing books to complete the different tasks on the website. Make sure you send photo of your finished work in to our class email.
In Maths this week you have been looking at fractions. We are going to continue to look at fractions and use the online learning provider Oak Academy. We are going to practice the learning you did yesterday to make sure we understand it. Watch the video carefully - it gives really good examples on the different methods to use to help you with finding fractions of an amount. We have done this before but not for a while so it will be a great practice for you.
This week, our topic is ‘Extreme Earth’. I hope you enjoyed learning about the weather with Maddie and Greg yesterday. Today we will look at the next video by Maddie Moate and Greg Foot which is all about Earth Day!! It is a really interesting watch and talks all about our planet and some of the challenges it faces.
After the video have a look at the website below. This will allow you to learn more about Earth day and our planet.
Once you have watched the video and looked at the website see if you can create a picture about something you learnt from your research. We would love to see what you come up with.
Make sure you are staying active, doing some exercise throughout the day.
Why not try some of the fitness challenges in the photos below. How many can you do without needing a break? Maybe you could create a circuit of activities around your house to work through.
Don’t forget to do plenty of reading at home. There is some big news coming soon about our reading at Knowle Primary School which will help you to read more at home! It’s very exciting!
