Wednesday 29th April

What another wonderful day it is today!

Have a look below for your learning today.

Mr B laughyes

English:

Reading comprehension: Today you have a text about ‘Tsunamis’ to read. There are questions under each section, you can write these out in your book and then answer them.

(The answers are included at the end, so no cheating, but you/your family, can check your answers at the end!)

Maths:

Today you are going to be looking at Roman numerals. This topic is quite complex so to begin with, I would like you to watch this video as a recap and then write down all the Roman numerals from 1-100 in your maths book. This should help you considerably with tomorrow’s learning. (Check your answers on the same link afterwards and make sure you correct any mistakes)

https://www.knowtheromans.co.uk/Categories/SubCatagories/RomanNumerals/RomanNumerals1-100/

(If this link doesn't work, I have included the numbers 1-100 in an image at the bottom of the page!) :)

Remind yourself what we learnt about Roman Numerals by watching these videos:

In the top corner of your rapid recall whiteboard, you will have a space to write your number.

Range 10-20: 19

Range 30-60: 51

Range 350-450: 400

Range 30-99: 70

Topic:

This afternoon, step outside and lay down on the grass OR get sat down at your window. You are going to study the clouds in the sky. At the bottom of the page I have attached the names of these different types of clouds, which change all the time. You might want to have a look over the next few days and see if you can see different types of clouds. Draw what kinds of clouds you can see in the sky and label them.

(If you can’t see any clouds, then do it tomorrow!)

Reading: Please do your daily reading and record it in your reading record.

Spellings:

Please practise your spellings daily. These lists are on our class page. You can practise the Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and the Year 5/6 spelling lists. You all know which spellings you should be practising anyway.
