Welcome to the virtual home of the Hawking class. Our class is name after the famous, inspirational physicist Professor Stephen Hawking. Just like Professor Hawking, we love to question the world around us, we enjoy learning new things and we never give up no matter what challenges are placed in our way!
Here are some facts about our class:
-Our class teacher is Mr Bemister.
-Our class teaching assistant is Mrs Treloar.
-Our PE/Sports coach is Mr Blacker. He teaches us on a Wednesday.
-We also have a teacher called Miss Drage. She teaches us every Friday morning, and during our 1:1 conferencing time.
As most of you know already, we love to have great links and relationships with all children and their families, so please feel free to contact us whenever you need to and we will always help however we can. Use the email address below:
Our learning for the Summer term is 'Where is the water?'
This is going to give children opportunity to learn so much geographical knowledge. They will be thinking about rivers and their key parts and water cycles and how these are both important. They will also look at climate zones and biomes.
Below are some useful links to help inspire your learning. Enjoy!
Due to restrictions with COVID-19, we are trying to keep home learning as virtual and contained as possible. We will be sending spelling lists home, which do not need to come back into school. Any other work that we do send home, we will not expect to come back into school again to limit contact between home and school.
So, below you will find some very helpful documents.
1. Spelling lists for Year 2 and 3/4. Children need to know and work on these spellings dependent on their ability.
2. Times tables: I have attached a document that has all times tables that children in our class need to know and practise.
3. Reading - I have attached some reading guidance on types of questions and conversations that would be really helpful for you to do with your child at home. The more they read, the better they are at reading!
If you need any help or guidance, feel free to get in touch with me.
