KS2 football at Ernesettle
On Friday 14th October 2022, Mr Young and Mr Mildren took some of our Year 5 and 6 boys down to Ernesettle Primary to play a football match.
It was a superb game and very even throughout. Credit to both teams who gave it their all and were competitive but fair throughout the game.
Knowle went 2-0 up early on with quick fire goals from Ryan and Harrison.
Ernesettle then grew into the game and scored three brilliant goals to go 3-2 up. Harrison then equalised with a long-range strike just before the half time whistle.
Harrison completed his hat-trick just after half time as Knowle made a really positive start to the second half. Ernesettle came back strong again and equalised halfway through the second half.
The game was poised nicely at 4-4 and then 5 minutes before full time, Ryan scored a brilliant goal from a tight angle.
With Knowle 5-4 up, they survived some relentless late pressure from Ernesettle who hit the post twice but Knowle held on for the win.
