School swimming

From Tuesday 7th June 2022- Friday 24th June 2022, Year 6 have been going to The Life Centre as part of their school swimming lessons. It has been amazing to see the children grow in confidence, knowledge and skill. 

 

The National Curriculum stipulates that by the end of Primary School, all children should be able to meet the following objectives:

 

  • swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
  • use a range of strokes effectively [for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke]
  • perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations

 

Our swimming data will be published on our Sports Premium report.
